Critical Thinking Paper (250 points):
For the critical thinking paper, you are to identify a problem area within the management of criminal justice agencies. You will then develop, apply, and
discuss possible solutions.
Critical Thinking Paper Requirements:
• A short paragraph discussing the problem area topic on which you will write the paper is due to me along with 3 scholarly sources no later than November 5
11:59 PM CST. You do not necessarily have to use these sources. This is just to ensure that you have begun the research process, and you have chosen an
appropriate topic.
• The paper must be between 10-12 pages; this does not include a title page (which is not required) or references. You will be graded on your critical thinking
and research skills. I will accept rough drafts up until a week before the paper is due if you would like me to review your paper before it is officially submitted.
• You are to use 12-point Times New Roman font, double-spaced, one-inch margins
• A minimum of 6 sources is required (more recommended) to be cited in APA format. At least three of these should be scholarly journal articles. (Wikipedia
does not count as a source.) Be sure you paraphrase the sources and/or use minimum quotations. Any material not properly cited (including paraphrased
material) will be deemed plagiarism – see Academic Honesty Policy, and will not be accepted. Examples of proper in-text citations will be posted on
Blackboard.
