ASSIGNMENT 2
INSTRUCTIONS
Assignment submission must meet the following requirements:
• The assignment must be completed either within the Assignment Response Template (on FLO)
or in a document with the following specifications:
o Use the font 12 points Times New Roman throughout.
o References may be provided as minimum 8-point Time New Roman if space is limited in your
submission.
o Write your Surname, First Name and Question Number on the top line on each of the 4 pages.
o Page border: Margins must be no less than 1.5 cm on all sides.
o Please use single spacing between paragraphs.
o One page only is allowed for each question, this includes diagrams and references.
Questions with separate parts, eg 1a, 1b, are still one question. No attachments or additional
pages to the assignment will be accepted, nor will links to webpages, Instagram…. etc. Your
entire answer must fit within the box provided.
• If you choose to include a diagram or figure in an answer, it must be hand drawn by you (NOT
computer generated diagrams nor textbook diagrams scanned or copied) with relevant notation.
Computer generated figures and diagrams will not be accepted. (Students with a disability,
supported with a Student Access Plan, may contact the Topic Coordinator for approval to submit
computer generated figures). Figures plus all of your text must fit on a single page.
• Do not include the question within your answer. All questions must be answered in paragraph
form unless otherwise specified within the question (i.e. do not write answers in dot point unless
the question states to do this). Questions with separate parts, eg 1a., 1b can be answered in parts
(on the same page).
• References (for example lectures notes, textbooks, peer-reviewed articles, websites, etc) must be
cited using the Vancouver style – a copy of referencing guide is available on MMED1005’s FLO
page.
o The Reference List for each question must be placed on the same page at the end of each
question
o An example of how to reference within the assignment template is provided on FLO.
Penalties will be applied if your assignment does not meet the requirements listed above. For
example, for significant referencing errors a mark of zero will be awarded for referencing. For
formatting errors a mark of zero will be awarded for writing. Any work outside the one-page
specification per question will be omitted.
