Investigation into an Aspect of Inclusion (4500 words)

The research project should be in the form of a Journal Article.

Research Question: How are children with ADHD supported with their learning (intervention methods) in primary school?

 

The journal article should include: 

·       Abstract

·       Introduction – 10% (Percentage word count)

·       Literature review – 25%

·       Methodology – 15%

·       Results – 10%

·       Discussion – 25%

·       Conclusion – 15%

·       References and appendices

Research must be undertaken in a Primary school within the UK (London)

Research can only be QUALITATIVE and must be gathered from Teachers, SENCO lead of school, Teaching Assistants (TA) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching assistants.

1.     First of the chosen qualitative research, is Interviews with at least 6 class teachers and 1 SENCO of primary school.

2.     Second research method is qualitative questionnaire to be handed out to classroom TA and SEN teaching assistant (should be a mix of both). Minimum of 6 participants.

Majority references used needs to be ACADEMIC JOURNALS. Other references NEEDS to include Government publications (e.g. Department of Education, Ofsted Reports), Books and reliable sites/organisations.

2.     Autonomously design and manage small scale research exploring a key question relating to chosen aspect

3.     Demonstrate a systematic and critical approach to the acquisition and understanding of data appropriate to the question

4.     Confidently and coherently present findings in a coherent and academically acceptable way.
