Discussion: Assessing Article Sections

Order this Paper

Description
The abstract of an article often holds valuable information for capturing the essence of a study. However, it is not good practice to simply read an abstract and attempt to apply this research to your practice.

Using your PICO(T) question, locate a relevant research article and attach a link to your initial post. Then, choose one section, other than the abstract, and assess the information it provides for its potential to inform evidence-based practice. The PICO(T) format is used to help practitioners develop well-rounded questions: P: Population or Patient (What are the characteristics of the patients?) I: Intervention, influence, or exposure (What are the interventions of interest?) C: Comparison (Component of interest?) O: Outcome (What are the consequences we are interested in?) T: Time frame (Polit & Beck, 2014)
