Conflicted feeling about parents is a thread that runs through the works we’ve read this semester. Using the
first two chapters in Hong Kingston’s memoir and one other text we read, examine how the author
represents their parents and explore the nature of the conflict that shapes that recalling.
Do not use any information from the films.
Length: 6-7 pages plus a works cited sheet correctly formatted in MLA style
