Many of the poems read for this class have contolling metaphors to help reveal the message
from the author. Follow the links i sent of the three poems that use this format, read them and write a five paragraph essay identifying the metaphors and, giving citations from the poems, interpret the themes developed through the metaphors and evaluate the effective use of this technique by the poets. Be sure you have an introduction and conclusion. Use citations with parenthsis for lines selected in the poems. Give a Works Cited List for the three poems with
author, title and source.
