You will finalize and clearly specify your research question, your research design (methods to be utilized and evidence to be examined) of your thesis. It should be 1-2 pages and you will be assessed by the structure, clarity, and feasibility of your submission. It should follow the following format:

Research question
Dependent Variable (lay out what is to be measured, what data/evidence will you use, years you will score it)
Independent Variables (lay out what is to be measured, what data/evidence you will use, years you will score them, should map onto your lit review)
Methodology — qualitative or quantitative, if qualitative: most similar or most different design
Case selection — which countries/cities/states will you examine? Why?
