Extra Credit Assignment
Your task is to write an argumentative essay on the following topic:
“Was Boss Tweed a hero or a villain?”
Please use these steps in creating the essay:
1. Choose a position for the essay topic.
2. Write a thesis statement containing your position.
3. Paragraph 1 – Introduction which contains the thesis statement.
4. Paragraph 2 – At least three facts to support your position.
5. Paragraph 3 – At least 3 facts supporting the opposite position.
6. Paragraph 4 – Conclusion
Other details:
1. Type your essay in a word document.
2. Be careful of spelling, punctuation, and grammar as these will affect your grade
3. Each paragraph should contain at least five well written sentences
4. Do not copy and paste and cite any sources.
5. Do not share any part of your essay with any other students. You will not receive credit
