U.S. History and YouTube videos
When a discussion has the name “U.S. Hist” that means you will need your U.S. History textbook to complete the assignment.
You do not need to discuss something interesting, troubling, weird, etc. for all of the chapters assigned to this reading. You can stick to one chapter or find something in each chapter.
You have to post before you can see your classmates’ posts.
For this discussion, read the entire chapter(s). In your post include:
One thing you found interesting, troubling, weird, etc (you don’t have to mention all of those suggestion prompts – just one or as many as you like) and worth discussing from the reading. Put some thought into this and also think about your classmates. I expect students to respond to other’s observations.
200 words and Ask one question about the reading material (do not copy and paste to your discussion the questions from the textbook found at the beginning of the chapter, at the beginning of each section in the chapter, or from the review section at the end of the chapter). What might need clarification from other students or me? Remember that there is no shame in asking questions. Students must pick one question from another student and attempt to answer that question (keep others in mind when asking your question). I will check that students attempted to answer one of their classmate’s question.
