Discussion: Sustainability Research
While often associated with environmental sciences, sustainability efforts are used in many professions and fields as a way to increase the capacity of an entity to maintain itself. An entity might be an organization, a program, or an entire profession or field. As an evaluator, it is important to understand the current trends and findings related to sustainability within your profession or field. This provides you with valuable strategies and insights on how to increase the sustainability of your continuous improvement efforts. In this Discussion, you analyze current sustainability research related to your current or future professional education-based area of interest.
To prepare for this Discussion, review the Learning Resources and think about the sustainability of change and continuous improvement efforts in your current or future professional education-based area of interest. Then, select a topic related to sustainability in your current or future professional-based area of interest and identify three peer-reviewed journal articles on that topic.

By Day 3 of Week 8
Post a brief description of the topic you selected related to sustainability in your current or future professional education-based area of interest. Provide a rationale for why you selected the topic.
Part 2
By Day 7 of Week 8
Post an analysis of the three peer-reviewed journal articles that you selected. Explain why the articles are relevant, helpful, and how they support or do not support sustainability of change and/or continuous improvement efforts in your professional education-based area of interest. Provide your rationale including the citations for the peer-reviewed journal articles you selected.
