Student Learning and Assessment through technology: a study of teacher practice in in a FE Context.
This research project aims to investigate and assess student learning and assessment through digital learning and teaching within a further education context in a North Wales college. Five themes will be explored in this literature review:
A. Using technology to support learning and assessment within a further education college setting.
B. The impacts of using technology on teaching and learning.
C. Welsh Government policy.
D. The role of digital technology in supporting TPACK in a FE context

Follow- up interview questions
1. For the student’s assessment, what technology was used? (Please provide a brief description below).
Adobe Suite, Google Drive, Google Forms, Google Sites, Google Classroom, Google docs, Google Meet, Google Chat, Loom, YouTube. Younger lecturers I know like to try and mix it up, I however stick to Google Forms/surveys as I am not too familiar with the variety as I find it can be time consuming. We live among digital natives who prefer digital technology for assessments.

2. What are the implications of using technology?
1. Not enough funds to upgrade software/equipment – however it is continuing to improve. COVID has affected many costs cutting financially.
2. Lack of training foe both teachers and learners

3. How do you find using technology in the classroom for teaching and learning?
(Advantages / disadvantages)

Advantages.
1. Student engagement is better.
2. Applied more on the subject that gets across better using various platforms in detail that you can not use by discussion or books for example – 3D images that are interactive for student participation.
3. Assessments are key focus using digital technology that learners can respond to by practice assessment and individual instant feedback.

Disadvantages;
1. I am not always up to date with the digital literacy world.
2. Not enough consistency from tutors / currently viewing this now as a department after Haf brought this to out attention.
3. More training required as tutors and some learners not always confident
