Dіssеrtаtion Proposаl Title of the researсh project “Strategy implementation of innovative match analysis technologies in professional football leagues to monitor and develop player’s performances.” 1. Introduction (500 words) This section should set out the business context and any existing strategic issues, demonstrating to the reader the relevance of the study. In this section you are expected to describe aims and objectives for the investigation, and to identify specific research questions. 2. Literature Review (2000 words) This section provides a critical review of the literature related to the issue you are investigating. This means that you should demonstrate your ability to identify and to analyse the strengths and weaknesses of the theories or schools of thought relevant to your topic. You should also demonstrate your ability to identify how your study may contribute to the existing body of knowledge. The literature review should be focused on Innovation concept and implementation of Match Analysis Systems (ie. Prozone, Opta, SportsCode, STATS, Dartfish, etc) in professional football leagues and professional football clubs to monitor and support the player’s development. The research questions on this Project are the following: ? Does the Match Analysis System Technologies are important in the new football era to better prepare the Team playing strategies and player’s preparation? ? What are the impact of Match Analysis Systems in the preparation of Football Teams, and its effects on player’s performances? ? What is the importance of Match Analysis Systems in a professional team to prepare their playing strategies and playing styles? ? What is the value of the Match Analysis Systems in a team to monitor the evolution of youth football players and professional players? ? Some coaches don’t believe in the Match Analysis Technologies, hence what are the typical resistances and challenges faced in a football club. To identify the a)Strength and b)Weakness of Match Analysis and to identify arguments on the study to contribute to the existing body of knowledge. This section should conclude with the articulation of a conceptual framework, that is, a comprehensive synthesis of the analytical models and concepts which you will use to help you answer your research questions. Typically a conceptual framework explains the importance of certain concepts and their interconnections. The conceptual framework will help you identify what problem dimensions need to be examined, or what ‘measurable’ concepts may constitute evidence to support your argument. It will therefore help you determine the nature of the data to be collected. 3. Methodology (1000) This section should include: • a clear reference to your ‘observable concepts’ or research variables, encapsulated by your conceptual framework. • the identification of the relevant evidence and associated data sources to support your argument and help you achieve your research objectives. On this research should be Empirical Methodology orientation Entails the answering of distinct research questions, which may take the form of hypothesis testing, mainly by conducting your own fieldwork (that is, mainly by using primary data). You should explain how the literature, which reports on previous work and the existing body of knowledge, informed your research questions and the formulation of your research design. You are required to indicate the scope, limitation and rigour of your research by explaining your philosophy of research, your choice of methodology and your choice of methods for collecting your data (consistent with your methodology and adequate to the problem situation). In addition, you may also use some secondary sources (data collected and summarized by other parties) to corroborate your findings. You will then choose appropriate methods for analysing the data you have collected (quantitative or qualitative). Your findings (the outcome of your data analysis) should then be related to the work that you have previously identified in the literature, and brought together in the light of the objectives of your study. In drawing conclusions you are expected to discuss some of the implications to management and professional practice of issues arising from your research. Your work may offer a critique of existing theory, or lead to a new conceptual model (if supported by extensive data). 4. Ethics (200 words) Discuss any ethical issues arising from the proposed research and ways to address these issues. 5. Conclusion (500 words) 6. References (minimum 10)
