A global issue means a problem that affects more than one country and takes more than one country to
solve. Your paper should propose the most effective specific solution(s) to solve a global issue, based on
the complexity of the issue and what organizations and governments are already doing. Argue for the
humanitarian and human rights components to your problem. Focus on international organizations and
what they are already doing. How can they improve? Consider all sides of the pros and cons of your
solution ideas.
In your introduction, create pathos to hook your reader by using an anecdote of how humans are suffering
because of your global problem. (See spatial description under types of logos on the ELP exercises.)
Maybe a news source you can quote describes the human suffering happening because of the global
problem.
