It is important to note that in both parts of this assessment that students are required to make clear connections to a range of appropriate academic sources to support their writing. With the variety of projects that students are working on and the variances in the availability and quantity of academic literature on different topics, it is impossible to provide a recommended number of sources, but students are expected to abide by the fundamental principle of acknowledging the work of others by providing citations so that the reader can be made aware of the reading that has taken place in relation to the production of the assessment, how academically informed the work is and can also look up the details of the citations that are used within the text.
The use of appendices for this assessment is not recommended and all work that is being submitted for assessment must appear in the main body of the text. The word count for this assessment includes all material such as quotations and quantitative or qualitative data presented within the main body of the text but does not include the reference list at the end of your work.
