Weekly Critique Due

By now, we have become too familiar with Trump’s inflammatory rhetoric, “When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re sending people that have lots of problems. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists.”
The nation is divided when it comes to immigration. There are several questions that we should consider when it comes to unauthorized immigrants. (You do not need to answer all just 1-2 questions… Mostly focus on First part)
– Should local police departments participate in immigration enforcement? What are the costs and benefits of such approach?
– Given that a nation’s resources are limited, how should police and governments address immigration?
– How does Macias-Rojas work expand our understanding of immigration enforcement?
– Are conservative assumptions correct or incorrect regarding unauthorized immigrants (e.g., that they take away jobs, do not pay taxes, are a burden to healthcare and education, etc.)?
– Do unauthorized immigrants make any contributions to this country, and if so, what are those?
– Is immigration an issue in other countries and if so, how do they address it?
