Prompt: After reading Persuasion, we will be watching the 2007 PBS movie adaptation. In your essay, explore the ways in which the adaptation is true to the novel and the ways in which it is not. In order to further develop your perspective, make sure to do the following (in whichever order you deem appropriate):
- Give specific examples from the book and from the film
- Use Gottlieb’s essay on cinematic approaches to Austen to support your argument
