Research Question:
Is digital/crypto art such as NFT decolonizing or becoming new colonization in graphic design? How does it affect us as a designer?
Thoughts:
In this NFT art, these pieces are inspired by the design principles of the Bauhaus movement. Another special feature of it is that these Non-Fungible Tokens
were generated by code. Each piece is code-created by utilizing a specific color scheme along with simple geometric shapes.
NFT basically refers to the fact the digital file is unique and can’t be replaced with something else, like autographs or one-of-a-kind trading cards. Designers
are allowed to profit from their creativity and make great money in a new way. It’s a brand new opportunity of pushing the boundaries between the traditional
and digital world, however, the resource-intensive makes it bad for the environment so a lot of people feel conflicted. If everything will be digital eventually,
how are we gonna solve this unavoidable issue?
