Neighborhood Policing

Does neighborhood police help in mitigating crime? If so, how? What are the effects of
neighborhood policing on criminality? Is public perception of community policing different
or universal amongst the public? What are the differences in crime rates that can be
accounted for through the involvement of people in neighborhood policing? Do Residents
Generally favor community policing? Do they feel it will address the outcry since George
Floyd?

The research will show the influence of neighborhood policing in enhancing security. The
study results will be essential in determining whether neighborhood policing should be
encouraged in different communities within New York with high crime rates. Moreover, the
findings and conclusions will be vital in ascertaining whether the groups selected for
neighborhood policing can be trained and issued with firearms, expecting that they will use
them to maintain security and not for the purpose of racially profiling minorities.
