Self Evaluation question (1-2 pages):
During this semester we have investigated many aspects of Native American life and experience. Write a short essay to demonstrate what you have learned and what will remain with you. Draw upon examples and ideas from class lectures, class texts, class discussions, reports, stories, videos, and personal experiences. You might discuss which aspects of this class have changed your view of Native Americans. You could write about aspects of the class that have changed the way you live your life. This essay could cover facts (you can’t mention everything so you’ll have to prioritize) and your thoughts and reflections on what you’ve learned (I don’t mean, “Oh, I really enjoyed it,” but rather, “Understanding the Basic Element of individuality has made me look at the way I interact with others around me.”) Use your mind and imagination; reflect on what you’ve learned and consider how best to demonstrate that knowledge.
