In this section’s lecture and readings, we examined the theories of Sun Tzu and Sherman Kent and how they have contributed to modern intelligence doctrine and the intelligence cycle. In the article and video by Erik Dahl, argues that there is a “new American Way of intelligence.”
– Do these theories and the intelligence cycle still have relevance in dealing with the various state and non-state actors that present a security threat to the homeland today?
– Do they also have value in confronting the numerous natural threat that we deal with on a seemingly ever-increasing basis?
