You are required to attend a live performance of popular music and write a brief report (700-1200 words). You will submit your report using the link and the report format provided in Canvas. In order to receive a grade, proof of attendance must be submitted along with your report.

Criteria for this live performance report:

1. The performance must be attended during the current semester. Writing a report on a show that you saw previously isn’t acceptable.
2. It must be a performance of a popular music genre (e.g. rock, hip-hop, r&b, country, jazz, etc.), not classical music or world music!
3. The performance must have live performers; going to a dance club with a DJ or seeing a show with pre-recorded music isn’t acceptable.
4. The music must be an integral part of the performance, not just background or incidental.
5. If you go to a school performance, it must be no lower than college level. No high school musical productions!
