Over the course of the semester, you have been learning about a variety of theoretical approaches to individual counseling that involve helping people make
meaningful life changes. The purpose of this assignment is for you to present your theory of how people change during the counseling process, including the
role that the counselor plays in this process.
This paper should be approximately 4 to 5 pages in length (but no more than 5), not including the title or reference page, following APA format. Papers must
be typed in 12-point black type with a common font (e.g., Times New Roman, Arial, Courier), double-spaced, with 1-inch margins. The title page and reference
section should be on separate pages.
If you paraphrase or quote from a source, you must cite the source in the text of the paper and then list the source in the reference section using APA style.
Failing to cite sources and use quotation marks is considered plagiarism and has serious consequences. Please see the documents in this week’s folder on
using APA style.
As this is a 400-level course, clear writing is expected with proper spelling and grammar. Points will be deducted for unclear writing and English errors.
