Where is the legislator from? An urban, suburban or rural community?
What political party do they belong to?
How long have they been in office? Have they held other elected offices?
Who were the major contributors to this campaign? Individuals? Organizations? What are the implications?
Who endorsed this candidate?
What were the highs and lows of this person’s campaign(s) for office?
What have been the highs and lows of this person’s legislative career?
What committees is this legislator appointed to? Is/were they an officer on any of these committees? If so, what position?
What is the typical process for how the person goes about deciding upon a bill? (From whom do they seek input? How do they seek education/information
regarding a bill?)
How do they measure public opinion? How much influence does public opinion have over their decisions?
Does this person have a record of voting against his or her political party? On what issues?
Is there a documented history on this person’s stance/involvement in support of or opposition to your selected policy and/or social issue? Describe.
