Reflecting on your clinical experience as family Nurse practitioner in the primary care office thus far and the EBP approaches you have learned in class, choose one thing you would like to see changed in your clinical site: a patient outcome, flow issue, communication issue etc.( Choose how to reduce patient’s waiting time that will lead to patient’s satisfaction in the doctor’s office ( consider 1 Medical doctor and 1 NP working in the office beside 2 medical assistants and 2 secretary) and Read through the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) instructions to create a Cause and Effect Analysis (AKA Fishbone diagram).This also includes a fillable PDF for use to create the Fishbone diagram.
1. Write the effect you would like to influence in the box on the right side of the paper (10 pts)
2. In each of the 5 categories generate a list of causes and sub causes (see example posted on Blackboard) until each cause is specific enough to test a change and measure its effects. (60 pts)
3. Identify where you think a test of change should start and why (30 pts)
