In a 500 word essay, answer one of the following prompts:

Discuss the issue of freedom during the World War I era. Despite the rhetoric of freedom and democracy, World War I and the immediate post-war period would be one of the most repressive eras in American History. Explain this paradox, making sure to offer specific examples and address why this occurred.
How was the fundamentalist revolt a reaction to the modernization of American society in the 1920s?
How did the New Deal reshape the lives of the American people? What were the limits to this change?
Use of evidence: Need a total of three different sources of evidence (crash course, lecture, and book all these need to be used.) Your essay is based on the assigned material from Modules 8-11 (i.e. CrashCourse videos, Give Me Liberty, my typed Lectures, video clips). Students will use only these sources as supporting evidence to answer the prompts, and should not use any outside sources (i.e. Wikipedia, History.com, etc.).to help you with citation standards and guidelines. You’ll see it’s the same format as your citations for Discussion Boards. Note: To earn a perfect 3/3 in “use of evidence” (see rubric) students must provide specific, cited supporting evidence from three of the assigned sources. Make sure if evidence is a video the name of the crash course video and time were the statement was made that you used as evidence. For book evidence page needed to be included. If lecture notes evidence page needs to be included.
