9: Examining Authentic Leadership
Aim: We would now like you to spend some time researching authentic leadership in more detail and contribute your findings to a shared studio.
Instructions
We would like you to find two resources that discuss authentic leadership. These can be articles, videos or web resources. You should then compare and contrast the ideas contained in your two chosen sources, and add the following information to a Word document:
- Definitions
- Strengths
- Weaknesses
- References
- Any examples they give of an authentic leader

Analysing external sources will be useful in your understanding of how to approach authentic leadership. Your tutor will set up an ‘Authentic Leadership’ studio space. You should share your research in the studio, and spend some time looking at your fellow students’ research.
