1. The New Building Institute has several case studies that summarize what can be
done to improve energy efficiency, and they can be found at https://newbuildings.org/casestudies/. Look through the case studies and pick one that interests you to summarize in 2-3
paragraphs. At the beginning of the summary, identify which one you chose and why. Also
tell me if the information in the case study is practical in your life, and why or why not

2. Read the paper “How big is the energy efficiency resource?” by A. Lovins (2018)
that can be found in the attachments. Provide a paragraph for each topic:
a. Paper summary.
b. Paper assessment (do you agree or disagree with the premise of the paper?
c. A summary of what you do to conserve energy you use (not to be confused with
conserving your own energy by being a couch potato).
