Discussion Board Guidelines
- Research the topic and find interesting and relevant information.
- Your post should be thoughtful, complete, and add value to the discussion. I am looking for quality, not quantity in your posts. A short, well done post earns more points than a long, disorganized post. I will be reading a lot of posts for each DB, so being clear and on point helps you with a better grade.
- If a DB requires an original post and a response to a classmate’s post, you must do both. Keep that in mind and post early for those DBs that require both. Contribute to the discussion in a meaningful way.
- I usually compose what I want to post to Bb in a text or Word document and then copy and paste it after I’ve proofed it. That would be what I would recommend on your DB posts.
- On posts where I indicate a company or product can only be discussed once, be sure to review your classmates’ posts before you post. Please label the subject of your post with the company’s name or the name of the product. Don’t include your name in the subject of your post. If everyone does this you can sort the threads alphabetically to determine if the company you’re considering has already been discussed. If you discuss a company or product that one of your classmates posted prior to you, you will receive a grade of 0 for that DB.
Please use your own thoughts and do NOT plagiarize anyone’s work. All assignments will be ran through Safe Assign (plagiarism software for blackboard use)
