With the announcement of Biden’s residency, there appeared to be a palpable shift in news coverage of
Trump’s administration. I’d like you to find examples from November 2 onwards of journalists either
enacting or deviating from ethical standards we have discussed in this course. Please include the link and
your commentary. News reports in print/online/broadcast media, social media posts by journalists (please
be ethical and don’t screen grab anything from a private or locked account), journalists responding to other
journalists are all fair game. Don’t restrict yourselves to North American journalists either, and if you’re
posting something not in English, French, Spanish or Arabic, please make sure it’s browser-translatable or
include brief translation.
There are no right or wrong answers. Your response must:
not repeat any earlier responses;
be under 200 words in length;
use an appropriate tone — while you may use first-person and a more conversational writing style, please
remember that this is an academic space;
provide a rationale;
link to or cite any references — this can be informal (no specific citation style), and no additional references
beyond the course readings are required, but you are welcome to bring in outside sources (e.g. links to
first-person narratives, commentary, news reports, etc.)
