1. Do you think online (online, mobile, social media) or offline (outdoor, print) marketing is more effective? (60 words)
This question to determine how much you know about digital marketing as well as traditional marketing (offline) and its various components. You can convey your understanding of the industry by briefly discussing key aspects of both types of marketing and the importance of applying both.
*** Write more words, the key points similar to the highted yellow below. The opening and closing sentences can be as simple, short as possible.
Example: Do you think inbound or outbound marketing is more effective ? “In my experience, inbound and outbound marketing are essential complements of each other. Companies need inbound strategies like social media and blog content to interest customers on their terms, and they need outbound strategies like email marketing and paid search ads to attract clients more directly. Together, these two aspects can form a well-rounded digital marketing strategy.”
2. How do you feel about our Instagram account?
PRADA https://www.instagram.com/prada/ (60 words)
MIUMIU https://www.instagram.com/miumiu/ (55 words)
Think first about how the Instagram account makes you feel as a visitor. First impressions are important on social media. From there, what does the account say about the brand? And what does the account make the visitor want to do? Does it make the visitor want to buy?
Example: Versace: There is a focus on celebrities, on fashion shows, and on lifestyle. What I do not always get from the Instagram (IG) account is a sense of Versace as a brand, of the variety of its customers, or of the unique qualities to be associated with Versace over other fashion houses.
TAG Heuer: The IG account is strong on product and on sports-centric identities and lifestyles being linked back to TAG Heuer products. The IG account is very masculine and European in tone and approach. More could be done to showcase products for women, as well as in portraying TAG Heuer as a global brand.
3. Please recommend IG ad formats for Prada and Miu Miu you would choose to advertise and state why. (Location: Hong Kong )
50 words for Prada and 50 words for Miu Miu = total 100 words
Example: Versace: For Versace, I would focus on carousel advertisements to drive e-commerce. Carousel adverts allow for plenty of different items to be shown in a single advertisement, and so the full ranges of Versace clothing and accessories can be shown to the customer. This helps the visitor not only explore the range and depth of Versace’s current collections, but from there make purchase decisions. A carousel also supports conversations on social media, and the sharing of a wide range of Versace product images. This should be backed up with images using Chinese-heritage models and locations so that purchase links can be made by aspirational Asian customers.
For TAG Heuer: Collection ads can be used to make direct purchases from. I would focus on new and seasonal products, and make links to wider advertising campaigns, so that IG supports ease of purchase with partners. Explore ads would be an option also, as they link sales potential to more in-depth account browsing.
