Please answer all of the following questions in your own words and using your own ideas. If you quote from
the novel, be sure to put quotation marks around that quote and note the page number in parentheses.
Your answers should be in fully developed, detailed paragraphs, and your discussion should show an
understanding of the small details in the novel as well the large developments. Your examples should come
from throughout the novel, not just this last section.

1–The quote, “open your eyes and see what you can with them before they close forever” from Etienne’s
and Henri’s broadcasts can be said to relate to many different characters and situations in the novel.
What are some meanings you see this quote having so far?

you see positive and/or negative changes in him?
