Brainstorm all the things in your life that are either automated by a machine or delegated to someone else in order for you to have more time or energy. Try rearranging the list in order of importance – which automation or delegation is most valuable to you?
Next, make a list of things you would never delegate to an automation: Driving, picking a life partner, selecting grocery items… what do you consider off limits for automation.
Now, because it’s opposite day, select one of these off-limits actions and sketch out a design a device that would automate that task. Because you are designing something to which you are fundamentally opposed, this is an anti-design. This anti-design sketch can take the form of a 3-dimensional diagrammatic drawing, as if you were submitting your idea for a project grant or a patent. This style is also known as a line drawing.

Considering that most new automations are data-driven and algorithmic, your sketch can also take on the form of an algorithm, and an example for that is the reddit ranking algorithm
