Search for the CDC datasets in data.gov (https://catalog.data.gov/organization/centers-for-disease-control-andprevention). Of the 400+ possible data sets, choose one to propose a decision support tool to one of the
following customers.
A primary care clinic in a rural area
A school-based health center in an urban setting
A public health department in a beach town
An insurance provider on the current healthcare exchange serving a low-income population
Once you have found a dataset that seems interesting. Select it and visit the landing page (it has the “i” for
information icon). Scroll down and see what is in your dataset including the variables and a table preview.
