A sample has been sequenced from an epidemic outbreak from an unknown illness that is going around.

The sequence can be found at the end of this paper.

Part A.

Generate an alignment of related sequences (REMEMBER TO INCLUDE THE SEQUENCE YOU ARE GIVEN!), you must have at least 20 sequences in your alignment.
Generate a phylogenetic tree of the alignment that will enable you to identify the nearest neighbour of the sequence and any related species.

Part B.

Each question should be no more than 1000 words.

1. Write a section describing the viral family described, include replication of the virus and transmission.
2. What is the history of the virus that you have identified? Include a description of the previous outbreaks.
3. Given that you have a patient sick in the hospital, what measures would you take to try and control this new outbreak?
