Assignment Paper

Our bodies fundamentally affect our identities. The way we navigate in the world. The way we see ourselves. There’s so much more to writing about the body than simply making your readers be present. What about writing about illness, sexuality, trauma, or the other daily traumas of the body?    Using the list/scenes you wrote in Writing Exercise #12, write a two-page scene where your body is the main story. Where are you? Why is the moment significant? Who is with you? The event you write should be important to you (even if it seems insignificant to someone else) and the focus should be on what you see, touch, hear, taste, smell, etc. What story is hidden in your body? Why does it need to surface now?
