School starts at 8:15. Students come in, put jackets up, and then wash their hands. Some of the students like to run in and play, while some need
encouragement from Mrs. Dawn and her parents. Ms. Becky is at the wash hand station to sing and encourage the handwashing process. After hand
washes, they start the first round of stations which today are playdough, cutting, painting snowflakes, snow coloring, and playing bingo with letters ms dawn
is testing knowledge. They got to pick the center, then ms beck and I observed the painting snowflakes and asked the children about colors and mixing them.
I then went over with ms. Dawn observed her work with a student who has difficulty putting letters that match the red square. After ms dawn told everyone
clean up in two minutes after 2 minutes is circle time they talk about how many friends there are and then talk about how to draw the number. And the
schedule we talk about going outside while outside they climb up the straight slide and go down the twist and this helps with taking turns and motor skills.
Think after 30 minutes the go inside during snack time the teacher talk and have conversation with each child to connect and ask about their snack, and the
teacher will share their snacks. After they read Pete the Cat Valentine cards because we were reading it yesterday, they did the song called tap tap big lines
that have instructions in the music to have them listen and tap their sticks. Then they did the second round of center with a little more excitement in their
behavior. Language development uses please and thank you and used words that help communicate what they feel. I know you are angry that snack time is
over, but we need to go outside and play catch or ask for a toy and use their friend name to use it next and sing songs that help with learning their friend’s
words. One child is saying more than a four-word sentenCe to communicate with the teacher, and the vocabulary is pretty suitable for ages 2.1/2 to 3. It is in
250 words. and the children are a lot more friendly with this visit, and they played a dramatic play and had a conversation with each other that ms dawn
encouraged the behavior she was observing. Afternoon class is the age group of 4-5 they first put jackets up with no help the wash hands and fing thier name
on the color dot they want and sit and wait for ms dawn to come and sing the introduction song and each student goes in the middle one at a time to get
them to have thier listen ears on. After they picked center the center were play dough, water color heart flakes and coloring snow and dramatic play. On of the
learning activity was alphabet bingo and writing number with whiteboard because one on the children ask after having difficulty counting her friends so ms
dawn said yet have practice. After center it time to pick a song to dance to heighten was hip hop. Then they read Pete the cat Valentine’s Day and played
another to help with motor skills and to listen to instructions of the song which was matman. After was snack time where the teacher got to have a
conversation and share snacks and have laughed. after snack they write their names and draw stick people called Batman after about 15 minutes. then go
outside until 3:15 and come in and go home.
