Issue: First, select a controversial topic. Then within that topic find a specific issue and take a stand on it, arguing for or against something. Remember that for an issue to be controversial there must be disagreement on both sides. During our library classes, our embedded librarian will introduce our college library system and help us explore controversial issues using the college’s many resources. Don’t miss those classes! Topics/Issues Not Allowed. Remember, use only 12-point Courier New font with double-spaced lines; otherwise, you will suffer a penalty. • Minimum Length: Your research paper must have at least a full sentence on the 6th page and be at least five paragraphs long. Failure to meet this requirement will result in a failing grade.
