For your case write-up:
1. Define the challenge of The Lilypad’s leadership team (Please include the 5W’s here, What was a challenge? when did it happen? who was a decision maker? why is it a strategic challenge (connect it with performance/competitive advantage)
2. Analyse its PESTLE and 5 Forces (focus on the internal environment)
3. Analyse its resources and capabilities through the VRIO framework (focus on the internal environment)
4. Recommend (a) the most promising “opportunity” that The Lilypad should focus on its strategic thinking and (b) its “strongest” resource/capability that The Lilypad can rely on. Recommended the Value Chain that would provide the company with a competitive advantage that would lead to $$ performance.
