You must write a paper of no fewer than 800 words on the theme of comitatus (the warrior code) in Books
10 and 11 of The Odyssey. Your first paragraph must contain a thesis statement about the value of
comitatus in The Odyssey.
Your next two or three paragraphs should each have a topic sentence about comitatus that supports the
thesis, and significant interpretation of the value of comitatus in The Odyssey, Books 10 and 11. Each
paragraph should have quotations and specific references to Books 10 and 11.
A paper composed of general statements about comitatus in The Odyssey as a whole will not earn credit
