1. Start your paper with your introduction. Briefly—as in one sentence—describe what each article is about.
Do not use up the word count with a full reference; that is the function of the endnotes.
2. In the next 1-2 paragraphs, explain the thesis/main argument of Peires’ chapter. Comment on his use of
evidence and his conclusion.
3.In the next 1-2 paragraphs, do the same for Bradford’s article.
4.Next, write a paragraph in which you consider whether Peires and Bradford are agreeing or disagreeing,
or whether you can find some points in the middle. That is, they agree on (a) but disagree on (b).
5. Include endnotes, preferably at the end of a sentence (and not in the middle) that demonstrate you have
read the articles.
6. Write your conclusion. Offer your assessment about what interested or surprised you about two articles
that appear to be about the same subject
