Review the section titled “Lying, Trust, and Relationships” on pages 183-186 in thetextbook (ATTACHED
AS A FILE and answer the following questions for the post on the discussion board.
1.Do you agree with the statement on page 183 that “telling the truth and lying are part of being human?”
Why or why not?
2. Create a short scenario about two people in a romantic relationship. Describe a disagreement that they
have as a result of one of them lying. Include the outcome of the disagreement and why you think one of
them lied. Include an example of the actual lie and label it lying by omission or lying by commission. You
can include two lies and label them both if you wish.
3.Assuming that being caught in a lie affects the trust both partners in a romantic relationship had
established, do you think that original trust can ever be regained. Why or why not?
