The purpose of this assignment is to allow students to deepen their understanding of how immigration
policies impact the experiences of diverse migrant communities, while simultaneously identifying some
possible strategies of response. You will be tasked with creating a thorough, yet accessible two-page
(maximum) tool aimed at better equipping newcomers to navigate existing immigration processes and
procedures.

or two additional resources. While reading these materials, consider what you believe to be some key
pieces of information that an individual or family would need to be aware of when navigating this process.
3. Based on your findings, you will need to distill this information into a one or two-page tool. This tool
should be developed targeting your chosen population, offering succinct information in an accessible and
digestible way. Your tool should contain some level of intersectional analysis, drawing attention to some
additional barriers people might face based on their unique social locations. You are encouraged to
incorporate design elements to make the document visually appealing while increasing ease of
understanding. Finally, you should include relevant links to existing websites and resources (both
governmental and community) should people want more information.
