planned concept: My plan was to create a meaningful artwork for myself through print making. As I have
changed my mind from printing a turtle reflecting myself being slow, instead I made Koi fish and Ginkgo
leaves. This reflecting my self being a new better person. As I am about to graduate soon, I decided to make
an artwork to wish me luck for starting a new life. Black Koi Fish: change, transformation, Yellow Koi Fish:
wealth, prosperity, Gingko Leave: a symbol of longevity, The sun: new day, god, fortune.
techniques and design principles/elements
Defenitely, I started with painting water and the sun reflection on the background, then I selectively printed
each of koi fish and gingko leaves. Using Inkjet Transfers technique helps create artistic haziness, organic,
daydream like in the image.
