Choose one of Shakespeare’s works (i.e. The Sonnets, Romeo and Juliet or Hamlet) and analyze closely a long passage (14-20 lines long). Using glossing too in preparing for this paper. Formulate an argument of some kind about the passage and how it works within the entirety of the text. In other words, paper must have an argument, be organized by thesis-driven paragraphs, and end with a conclusion. The paper should also include quotations with their analysis integrated within the context of an argument. Do not quote the entire passage at the head of the paper and then proceed to allude to lines as you work. Quotations and analysis must be integrated together. Also, the paper should not be made up of grand summaries about the text.

The paper must be 4-5 pages, MLA style, 12pt., double-spaced, black ink and in New Times Roman.
