Set of letters or diary entries- For this option you will take on the persona of an individual you feel is important to American History (colonization to Civil War).
This can be a real person or a fictional person tied to a real event or movement. You need to produce at least THREE letters or diary/journal entries. They
need to reflect both political and personal issues/events at the time. You should be able to provide evidence of historical research and context.
At least 1 pages in length EACH
The letters/journal entries need to be accompanied by a 1 page summary of why you chose that individual or event- historical relevance and significance;
what you learned; why you think it’s a valuable topic.
Double spaced, 1 inch margins and 12 point Times New Roman font
ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY for all resources used (list EVERY outside source- this must be attached to your paper) You don’t need to provide in text
citations or footnotes, but you should provide at least a 1 paragraph explanation under each source stating why you chose it and how you used it in your
papers.
Use of at least THREE resources other than class notes or the book: Only ONE source can be Wikipedia (no multiple wiki pages), and at least ONE must be a
BOOK (or ebook) or a SCHOLARLY ARTICLE FROM THE LIBRARY DATABASES.
