Govt essay topic: Make an argument for a Parliamentary, Presidential, or Mixed system. Describe and defend your system. (I personally like the mixed: semi-presidential / semi-parliamentary and would like the essay to reflect that if possible).

Essays should be 2-3 pages. There should be a minimum of two citations and these should be quality sources from scholarly journals; i.e., secondary sources. If you are taking a position on a controversial issue in any format be sure to acknowledge and respond to the strongest arguments against your thesis and at least one of these citations must be to a source contrary to your thesis. Plagiarism Warning: You want to be sure not to simply copy material off the internet or change only a few words. Summarize the important points from various sources in your own words and add your own analysis. Use direct quotes when copying material and cite sources in the text. (quotes should be rare). If you plagiarize you will get a zero for that Essay. Must have a work cited page.
