o Contents of Final Paper: The final paper will include the elements of a literature review with the following general outline.
• Abstract (typically write this last)
• Introduction
­ Introduce your topic.
­ Outline the general topic area you will be discussing in the paper.
­ Why is the topic important/relevant (other researchers in the field, practitioners, others)?
­ What is the specific scope of your research interest?
­ Purpose or research question(s)?
o Theoretical foundation for the variables you are presenting in the paper. For instance, if I’m looking at two different types of justice and proposing a relationship with employee engagement, this section would separately look at the theoretical foundations for justice (and the two types) and employee engagement.
o You are demonstrating (1) you are familiar with the research that has already been done in this general area and (2) you have found a gap or area in the research that is lacking…an area that hasn’t been researched at all or very little (advancing the literature).
o Logically build the case for the relationships you are proposing/ hypothesizing in the research paper. This section should include proposition(s) or hypotheses.
o Discussion and research implications.
• Your Discussion/Implications section will include a significant subsection on how this study/research should be viewed from a Christian Worldview. This section should be at least 300-350 words.
o Conclusion.

• Paper will include a minimum of 12 sources (this varies depending on the number of variables in your paper and how detailed you need to go to adequately make your argument). Sources should be a combination of peer-reviewed journal articles, trade journals, etc.
• Leadership in Organizations concepts. The paper should focus on relationships of leadership concepts (preferably concepts covered in the two textbooks and journal articles used during the semester. (NOTE: If there are other leadership concepts you want to address, clear these with the course instructor.
