BIB 2 HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT: INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT 2022-2023
This individual assignment is based on the case: “PremiumSoft: Managing Creative People”. Please strictly follow the assignment guidelines outlined below.
• Your professor will send you a unique link to access and download the Cyklop case.
• You must carefully read this case, and then answer all case questions, while integrating
the HRM concepts, tools and theories discussed in class throughout the semester.
Case questions:
1. Analyze PremiumSoft’s recruitment and selection strategy. Specifically:
a. What are their current recruitment sources, and what are the pros and cons of
these?
b. How do they select candidates, and what are the pros and cons of these practices
for the company?
c. What changes, if any, should the company implement to improve their a)
recruitment sources and b) selection methods?
2. How would you describe PremiumSoft’s performance management strategy? Do you
agree with Lin’s approach? Why/why not?
3. What specific suggestions would you offer in order to improve the performance
evaluation/appraisal of PremiumSoft employees?
4. In general, and keeping PremiumSoft’s growth objectives in mind, what advice would
you give co-founders Lin and Choi for this company to attract and retain the best talent while staying true to their company culture and work environment?

Submission and style guidelines:

1. Style: Your assignment must be written in paragraph format (i.e. avoid having too many bullet points) and must contain between 2000-3000 words. The total word count must be indicated in the document’s first page. The assignment must be written in Times New Roman, 12-point font (excluding references).
2. Make use of the course content: You are expected to build your answers on what we learned in the course throughout the semester. As such, there should clear links between your paper and the various HR topics. Specific references to HR concepts, tools and theories are expected.
3. Avoid plagiarism: Your paper will be run through our plagiarism detection software (URKUND). If plagiarism (e.g., copying from documents on the internet or from fellow students) is detected in your document, the general rules of the institute regarding this will apply, leading to the possibility of failure in the course.

4. Deadline: three weeks after Session 5 at 23h59. The assignment must be submitted in MS Word format and uploaded into the designated assignment upload link in the course page in IESEG Online. Late submissions will be graded zero.
5. Grading: The assignment will be graded based on the grading rubric provided in a separate document, posted on the c
