1) Describe the symptoms of the diagnosis, Major depressive disorder, single episode (F32), and indicate the methodologies that could be used to determine the symptoms.
2) Link each of these core symptoms to the bio-psycho-social model (i.e. which symptoms are biological, cognitive, affective, social, or more than one)
3) Explain the development of symptoms in the following areas: Biological, Cognitive, Affective models of behavior (i.e. how does a particular theory within biological, cognitive or affective models explain the symptoms of depression)
4) Describe the interaction between the theories from above and how they influence behaviors of individual who are and are not depressed. That is, describe how this integration works in nonclinical individuals and compare that to how it might be different in individuals with clinical depression
5) Provide at least 5 peer-reviewed references for the discussion of each content area (biological, cognitive, affective), and an overall minimum of 15 references
