The Nutrition Services Incentive Program (NSIP)
This program helps ensure older adultsreceive proper nutrition by serving them already prepared meals. Administered by DHHS. The program is part of the Older Americans Act and is funded by a variety of sources, including the government, fundraising, and pay from participants. It not only provides valuable nutrition, it also prevents further health issues.
Older adults. The only qualification is that the individual must be at least 60 years old.It is, however, targeted toward needier populations, such as low-income individuals and minorities.
It is available in my community through Meals on Wheels and the nutrition classes at the local senior center.

Based on your observations above, explain whether you believe your community is adequately meeting the needs of the long-term care population. Your reflection should be 350 to 700 words long.
